On September 3, the parallel forum of the 2026 Asia-Pacific Civil Society Conference "Civilization Exchange and Youth Exchange" was held at the Shandong Building in Jinan. Tian Tian, deputy director of the International Exchange and Cooperation Department, Yu Jiang, secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Foreign Languages, Zou Deping, vice dean of the School of Foreign Language, Ge Yumei, associate professor of the School of Literature and History Culture, and more than 20 representatives of teachers and students of the School of Foreign languages were invited to participate in the meeting and have dialogues and mutual learning with guests from many countries.

As one of the core sub-forums of the Congress, this forum is themed "Civilizations Mutual Learning, Gathering Strength; Youth United, Moving Toward the Future," and is organized by the Youth Exchange Professional Committee of the China International Association for Civil Organization Exchange. Sponsored by the Professional Committee on Humanities Exchange, co-organized by the Foreign Affairs Office of the People's Government of Shandong Province, Beijing Civil Organizations International Exchange Promotion Association, Beijing Language and Culture University, and Qufu Normal University, the event will feature guest speeches, thematic sharing, roundtable dialogues, and the release of initiatives. Distinguished leaders, experts, scholars, and youth representatives from Ecuador, Pakistan, Russia, Nepal, Mexico, Indonesia, Vietnam, and other countries gathered in Jinan to engage in in-depth exchanges on civilizational dialogue and youth cooperation, jointly issuing the "Asia-Pacific Youth Initiative for Promoting Mutual Learning Among Civilizations."

In the main theme sharing session of the forum, Chinese and foreign guests made keynote speeches on the topics of cultural exchanges and youth exchanges, sharing the practice of dialogue among civilizations and the experience of youth exchanges from diverse perspectives, bringing a thought exchange and collision to the participants. Participating teachers and students listened attentively and carefully understood the valuable insights of the guests, deepened their understanding of the connotation of the era of cultural exchanges, and also learned from the beneficial experience of carrying out international youth exchanges and cross-cultural communication.

Zou Deping, vice dean of the School of Foreign Languages, said that participating in this forum, he deeply felt the value of the era of cultural exchanges and mutual learning.
