When meeting with Mia Mottley, Zhao Leji stated that China and Barbados enjoy a profound traditional friendship, and their relations serve as a model for South-South cooperation. Both countries adhere to the people-centered development philosophy. The National People's Congress of China is willing to conduct multi-level and multi-channel communication and exchanges with Barbados' legislative body, and carry out exchanges and mutual learning on legislative and governance experiences. Zhao Leji introduced China's Global Development Initiative, emphasizing that China has always closely linked its own development with the development of other countries. China is willing to strengthen cooperation and seek common development with Barbados under the framework of the initiative to push bilateral relations to a higher level.
Mia Mottley said that Barbados-China relations are of great importance. Zhao Leji introduced the concept and practice of Chinese modernization, stressing that China regards New Zealand as an important cooperative partner on the path of Chinese modernization. When meeting with Luvsannamsrain Oyun-Erdene, Zhao Leji stated that China and Mongolia are good neighbors that are more precious than gold.
