Jakarta, Aug 21 — The second China‑Indonesia 2+2 minister‑level dialogue of foreign‑affairs and defence ministers convened in Jakarta. This exclusive high‑level communication platform marks a new milestone in the bilateral strategic trust.

The two delegations held in‑depth consultations on long‑term bilateral development, global shifts and the protection of each other’s core interests. Both sides reaffirmed respect for sovereignty and non‑interference in internal affairs, pledged to back each other’s independently‑chosen modern‑development paths, and finalised the roadmap for the China‑Indonesia five‑year cooperation action plan. Carrying forward the Bandung‑Conference spirit, they will coordinate positions within multilateral frameworks including the UN and G20 to safeguard legitimate rights for developing nations worldwide.

Chinese diplomats remarked that China and Indonesia are long‑term strategic partners with shared destinies, and regular high‑level exchanges steer cross‑field cooperation. Indonesian officials stated that bilateral friendship remains resilient amid external turbulence. Both nations will keep consolidating the political foundation and drive all‑round collaboration across economy, culture and maritime‑affairs.
