On the evening of September 12, the second batch of 100,000 doses of Sinopharm COVID‑19 vaccines donated by the Chinese government, along with 102,400 matching syringes, arrived safely at Brunei International Airport in Bandar Seri Begawan.

Yu Hong, Chinese Ambassador to Brunei, and Erywan, Second Minister of Foreign Affairs of Brunei, jointly attended the hand‑over ceremony.

This marked China’s second vaccine donation to Brunei, following the first consignment delivered back in February the same year. Ambassador Yu Hong stated that this batch of medical supplies carried the sincere friendship between the peoples of China and Brunei, and stood as a vivid practice of building a global community of health for all.

The Bruneian government expressed its heartfelt gratitude for China’s timely support amid the local pandemic. The new shipment would accelerate the national immunization campaign and safeguard people’s lives and health across the country.
