The School of Foreign Languages boasts a strong faculty with 77 staff members, including 66 full-time instructors. Of these, 4 hold professorships, 23 hold associate professorships, 25 have experience of studying abroad, and 16 hold doctoral degrees. Most of the faculty members come from prominent domestic universities such as Beijing Foreign Studies University, Shanghai International Studies University, the Diplomatic Academy, Renmin University of China, Nanjing University, Shandong University, and Ocean University of China. Additionally, the School of Foreign Languages regularly employs foreign instructors, 2 visiting professors from prominent translation companies, 2 visiting professors in the field of international business, and 8 renowned teachers and principals from primary and secondary schools.
Ten teachers have been awarded prestigious titles such as “Most Beautiful Teacher,” “Advanced Worker in Education,” “Model of Teacher’s Ethics,” and “Excellent Teacher” at the school level a total of 13 times. They have won 49 awards in national, provincial, and school-level teaching competitions, including five first-class prizes, 19 second-class prizes, and 35 third-class prizes. In recent years, they have received funding for 36 projects at the provincial and ministerial levels, as well as 54 projects at the departmental level. They have published over 140 papers in academic journals both domestically and internationally, including 21 papers indexed in CSSCI. They have published 50 monographs, translations, and textbooks, with 2 of these textbooks being selected as part of the National Ministry of Finance’s “13th Five-Year Plan” curriculum. Their research achievements have been recognized with over 30 awards, including the Shandong Provincial Prize for Outstanding Achievements in Social Sciences.
