Relying on the University’s national-level platform for language and script promotion, the School has established the Qilu Culture (Language and Script) and International Communication Research Team. From the strategic perspective of strengthening national language services and supporting economic and social development, the team is grounded in the development needs of Shandong Province and the University’s institutional strengths. Its research focuses on the distinctive features of Qilu linguistic and cultural heritage and its international dissemination, integrating academic research, cultural transmission, and practical application.

The team currently consists of 12 members, including 1 professor, 5 associate professors, 9 faculty members with doctoral degrees, 3 master’s supervisors, and 1 Distinguished Teaching Master of Shandong Province. In recent years, the team has undertaken more than 20 research projects, including those funded by the National Social Science Fund of China, the Ministry of Education Humanities and Social Sciences Program, and the Shandong Provincial Social Science Planning Program. Team members have published over 30 academic monographs and translated works, and more than 20 high-level papers indexed in SSCI, A&HCI, CSSCI, SCI, EI, and leading Chinese journals. The team has also been responsible for one National First-Class Undergraduate Course and has received one Provincial Teaching Achievement Award.
