To summarize the students’ teaching practicum in 2024 and deploy winter break and new semester tasks, the School of Foreign Languages held a Practicum Summary and Work Deployment Meeting on January 7 in the No. 2 Lecture Hall, chaired by Dean Song Xiukui. Dean Song underscored the pivotal role of teaching practicum in assessing students’ professional competence and enhancing pedagogical practice, commended their outstanding performance, and encouraged them to apply what they learned and pursue continuous improvement. Yu Jiang, Party Committee Secretary of the School, delivered a postgraduate entrance examination (PGEE) mobilization speech, highlighting the value of academic advancement, encouraging both domestic and overseas PGEE pathways, and urging unwavering determination. Vice Dean Chen Feng introduced the 2024 National University Discipline Competition Rankings and promoted competition-based learning. Director Zhang Liwen elaborated on the significance of the Teaching Skills Competition and advised students to strengthen oral proficiency, familiarize themselves with K–12 textbooks, and improve PowerPoint presentation skills during the holiday. In her closing remarks, Dean Song urged faculty and students to cherish the break, plan purposefully, strive for excellence in both PGEE and competitions, and bring honor to the School.
