To precisely support postgraduate entrance examination candidates during the critical preparation phase, on March 17, the School of Foreign Languages hosted a specialized graduate admission interview guidance session for students applying to the English Subject Teaching program. Organized by the English Language Education Teaching and Research Section, the event featured expert instruction from Prof. Liang Chengfeng, Dong Miaomiao, Liu Li, and Gao Ying. Prof. Liang delivered a systematic overview covering five key dimensions: the fundamental nature of the graduate admission interview, institutional admission requirements, strategic navigation of assessment formats, competency frameworks, and an actionable preparation roadmap—plus evidence-informed psychological regulation techniques. Gao focused on subject-matter mastery, micro-teaching, and lesson presentation, reinforcing concepts with live demonstrations and interactive practice. Liu provided individualized feedback and refined self-introductions for each participant. Dong delivered an online session on English language teaching methodology and addressed candidate questions in depth. The multifaceted, student-centered initiative was highly acclaimed, significantly boosting participants’ confidence. The School remains committed to delivering tailored, comprehensive academic and professional support.
