To further advance international talent development, the School of Foreign Languages hosted a specialized lecture on studying in Malaysia on May 15 in Room A207, Building No. 2. Yu Jiang, Party Committee Secretary of the School, attended the event and stressed the critical importance of international academic exchange for student growth. He introduced QLNU’s institutional partnership with Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), emphasizing the lecture’s goal: to help students clarify overseas academic pathways and formulate evidence-based, globally oriented development plans. IVY Wang, China Admissions Officer of PPSU (Pusat Pengajian Satelit Universiti)—a Malaysian government-authorized higher education league—delivered a comprehensive presentation across six key dimensions: the high cost-effectiveness and flexible program durations of Malaysian higher education, recommendations of flagship disciplines at top-tier universities, career-aligned major selection guidance, a comparative analysis highlighting the unique advantages of studying abroad versus domestic academic advancement, and vivid depictions of diverse student life and state-of-the-art campus facilities, illustrated through official promotional videos and authentic photographs. The lecture provided students with authoritative, actionable insights into studying in Malaysia. Moving forward, the School will continuously enhance its international education support platform to broaden students’ global perspectives and empower their academic advancement and professional aspirations.
