Program Description

Designed to serve China’s national foreign strategy as well as the economic development and social progress of Shandong Province, this program aims to cultivate well-rounded talents who are developed morally, intellectually, physically, and aesthetically. Graduates will possess strong comprehensive qualities and professional ethics, a solid command of both Chinese and English, a profound humanistic foundation, strong cross-cultural competence, a broad international perspective, in-depth knowledge of translation and interpreting, extensive encyclopedic knowledge, and essential disciplinary expertise. They will acquire proficiency in interpreting and translation skills, develop sound post-editing abilities, gain preliminary mastery of translation technologies, tools, and artificial intelligence applications, and understand the operational processes of the translation industry. With independent thinking, communication and collaboration skills, and a strong capacity for learning, graduates will be able to meet the needs of regional economic and social development strategies and will be qualified for application-oriented roles in medium‑difficulty translation, language services, and cross‑cultural communication in fields such as foreign affairs, science and technology, education, energy, culture, economy and trade, law, medicine, and engineering.
