The School of Foreign Languages Holds a Foreign Teacher English Corner on "Planning for Your College Years"

To enhance students' self-directed learning and future planning abilities during college, the School of Foreign Languages hosted a foreign teacher English corner themed "Planning for Your College Years" on the afternoon of May 28 in Room B235, Second Teaching Building.

Adopting an inspiring and interactive teaching style, foreign teacher Andy led students to engage in in-depth discussions on goal-setting and practical actions throughout college in a relaxed yet thought-provoking English communication environment. At the start of the event, Teacher Andy presented the core discussion questions on the interactive whiteboard: "How will you plan to make the most of your next years at university? What specific steps will you take?"

He then guided students to reflect on dimensions including academic improvement, skill development, internship practice, and professional networking, and encouraged everyone to deliver a 2-minute impromptu English speech tailored to their own major and career aspirations. After each student's presentation, Teacher Andy provided personalized feedback and suggestions covering logical structure, language expression, and content depth.

Students actively practiced around specific topics such as coursework, language proficiency tests, club participation, and summer internships, enthusiastically sharing their personal plans and action steps. This event broke the boundaries of traditional oral English practice by deeply integrating future planning with practical English expression, creating a highly interactive language practice platform for students. It not only effectively improved students' oral English proficiency and self-reflection awareness, but also helped them clarify their development paths and feasible measures for the remaining years of college.

Subsequent foreign language courses will continue to design more theme-based activities that align with students' growth needs, supporting them to enhance their professional English application competence and comprehensive qualities.
